LASTLOOK — DSQR Studio
Catches caption mistakes before you export.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
INSTALL (2 minutes, once)
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Mac Open Terminal (Cmd+Space, type "terminal", press return)
Paste this ONE line and press return:

              bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://qc.dsqr.studio/install.sh)"

That is the whole install. Ignore the Mac folder unless you
           want the double-click route below.

WHY NOT DOUBLE-CLICK: macOS blocks anything downloaded that
Apple has not notarised, and since macOS 15 the old
right-click trick is gone. If you want it anyway: double-click
Install Lastlook.command, press Done (never "Move to Trash"),
then go STRAIGHT to System Settings > Privacy & Security and
scroll to Security. A line naming the file appears with an
"Open Anyway" button. It is only there for a short while after
the block, so if you see nothing, open the file again and come
           straight back.

  Windows Open the Windows folder
           Right-click Install Lastlook.bat > Run as administrator

You need internet for this bit: the installer downloads the panel.

Then QUIT PREMIERE COMPLETELY and reopen it.
The panel is at: Window > Extensions > Lastlook

Stuck anywhere? The same steps, one at a time: qc.dsqr.studio/install

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
SET UP (2 minutes, once)
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  1. Open the Settings tab.

  2. Paste your LICENCE KEY. It was sent to you with this folder.
It is yours, it carries your name, and the panel shows that name.

  3. Paste an API KEY. It is free and takes a minute:
       - go to console.groq.com
       - sign in, then API Keys > Create API Key
       - copy it and paste it into Settings
Use YOUR OWN key, not a shared one. The free allowance is per
account, so a shared key runs out for everybody at once.

  4. Press "Test key", then "Save".

Both fields collapse to one line once saved, so nothing sits on screen
waiting to be knocked out of place.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
USE IT
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  Press Run Lastlook.

It saves your project first, so what it checks is what is on your
timeline, then reads every subtitle and drops a marker at each
problem. Click any result to jump the playhead straight to it.

    red a definite mistake
    yellow worth a look
blue it could not tell, and said so

"both" on a row means the text check and the audio check independently
found the same thing. Those are the most reliable ones.

CAPTION CHECK finds misheard words, wrong names and typos.
AUDIO CHECK listens to your audio and compares it against the
captions. Slower, and it catches the ones that read perfectly:
"it looks like a toy" when the word was "buoy".

SAFE ZONES puts a guide layer on its own track showing where TikTok,
Reels and Shorts cover your frame. Untick it to switch that track off,
which also keeps it out of any export.

CLEAR takes the findings off the panel and the markers off your
timeline. Your run history is kept either way.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
WORTH KNOWING
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  - Captions need Premiere 2022 or newer. On an older version the panel
says so rather than reporting your video clean.

  - It SAVES YOUR PROJECT before checking. That is deliberate: it reads
the saved file, so without the save it would be checking yesterday's
    words.

  - The findings are suggestions. You decide, and you make the change.
The tool does not edit your captions.

  - Every run is written to a file next to your project, so you can
reopen an old run from the dropdown and put its markers back.

  - Nothing here is a spellchecker. It is looking for words that are
    spelled correctly and WRONG.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
SOMETHING BROKEN?
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Help tab > "Report a problem". It copies the versions, your settings
and the last error, and opens an email to qc@dsqrstudio.com.
Paste it in and send. It carries no caption text.

The round arrow at the top right reloads the panel without you having
  to close and reopen it.
